E ai familia!
This past week was crazy. Mainly because my companion left today. We had to get a lot of things done to prep her to go home. So it was slow with work and crazy with packing, shopping, crying, visiting her other areas, and eating a ton of food. Rice and pasta at every meal and ice cream. Without a doubt, I~ll be fat....
Also, I had a tragedy this week. My memory card with 5 transfers of photos has an error and wants me to reformat. I wont reformat it. I just took it out of my camera, and put it with my other memory cards. I dono~t know if its possible to fix this problem that I have, but if not, I lost a junk ton of pictures. on the bright side, I sent all of the good ones home.
So I bought new shoes. Spent a junk ton of money. Then I brought them to a Sapataria (I don~t know what that would be called in english.... the people who fix shoes) and he put tire soles on the bottom of my new boots. I~m hoping this will take me home ;)
I~m also starting to struggle to speak English. I~m still struggling to speak Portugues, but it~s funny sitting here emailing you guys, because there are certains words or phrases, that I can~t remember how to say in English. When we were visiting one of Sister Amarante~s old wards, everyone thought i was brazilian... I told them that Ive been in Brazil for 4 months, and they~re like.....WHAAAAT!!? I thought you were brazilian! Aparently, I speak with very little accent. But I know that my grammar is still pretty bad. And my vocab could be better too. But at least we~re getting somewhere.
I~ll be getting a new companion this week. Don~t know who, what nationality, or what. Right now I~m in a trio with Sister Andersen and Sister Guerrero in Fama because I ditched my companion this morning.
And the cherry on top of this transfer! So my companion last night was stressed with packing, and at 2 in the morning, she started hitting my leg.. when i woke up, she started throwing up all over the floor, and her beloved companion cleaned it up. So I~m praying that I wont get sick... yall can pray that I don~t get sick too.
Other than that. This was my week! Excited for transfers. I~ll keep yall posted when I get more news!!
Love Sister Marshall
Oh and Elder Olsen is doing great with Portuguese. He~s actually here in the same Lan House with me right now emailing his fam too..funny.. Afterwards us and the other Elders are going to the "shopping"... this mall that is way cooler than any other mall this world has seen.
