Queridos Irmãos e Irmãs!
Well, another week has come and gone! It~s like every P-day, I email you guys, I blink, and it~s P-day again.
This week, we~ve just been passing a lot of people, knocking a few doors. Last P-day was the best, we emailed, and then afterwards we had to go home because of the game. It was a P-day the whole day. Woooo!
Today, we woke up and it was freezing. And by freezing, I mean it~s like... maybe 60 degrees. Maybe. But it feels SO GOOD. We~ll probably just go grocery shopping, I~ll have some hot chocolate and SLEEEEEP. You know, I love sleep. And it~s cold today too, so it~s perfect.
This week we knocked this one families door, and they were like... Come in!!! So we go in, and they met with missionaries like... 10 years ago. They~re evagelical, but they were like... oh my gosh, we miss the Elders so much! So we show them a video, and the husband was like... oh my gosh, I posted this video on my facebook the other day. I was like... nuts. It~s from our church!!
What else happened this week? I feel like a bunch of things that were funny happened.
Oh something else really cool. Last week, we found this one lady, super cool. She joined the Church ´´santa espirita`` when her son drowned and then her husband died from depression shortly after. Then she told us a little bit about her daughter. We taught her, and the spirit was so strong and we told her wed com back in a week because she works every day but saturday. So we go back Saturday, and we~re talking with her and her daughter walks in and is like...OH MY GOSH, I KNOW YOU!! to me! I was thinking, ´´whoa, she probably saw me in a dream or something´´. That didn~t happen haha. Remember when I sent you that email saying that we were helping make Brasil t-shirts? The daughter of this lady that we~re teaching was there when we were helping make the tshirts! Sueli and Wesley were less active members (that are now firm members in the church and they~re son baptized as well) that we would always pass by to help out in one way or another. It was super cool because every time we would go and help out, that one lady was there, and she remembered me when we were at her moms house. Long story short, they~ll be going to church this week! Yeah!!
I love being a missionary, because we get to meet so many really amazing people that we would never meet any other way. Also, we meet other christians who are like... i have my god, and you have yours. Wrong. We all have the same God. He loves everyone just as much as he loves me. I~m trying my best as a missionary to show that love that he has for everyone that we teach, everyone that we pass on the street, and I know that he loves everyone. He loves them A LOT. A lot more than we know. Our church is amazing. We do everything because of love. Helping Hands, free church materials, missionary work; everything we do is because we know our worth, and the worth of everyone else, and I want everyone to know how much they are loved...even when we aren~t perfect, because we~re not.
Anyways, love you guys. Keep me posted on everything, it~s always really good to hear from you guys! I love P-days! But right now I~m just trying to make the most of every minute that I have here on this mission. This week is the end of another transfer for me. I~m freaking out.
Love you guys,
Sister Marshall
