Oiiiiii!!!!
Things in Brasil are going good. It~s cool I guess that they~re going to send missionaries to the MTC for a few weeks. I remember them saying something about that in my first transfer in detroit, and i was like... heck nah. I was in the MTC for 6 weeks, but it really would help a lot I~m sure.
Elder Brooks, the Elder who was waiting with me in Detroit got his visa, so he~ll be coming in the next group WOOO! and Elder Olsen will be coming in tambem!
Things this week were pretty normal. Oh. We had a Interviews with my mission president this week. He was like... tell me everything. the area. your comp. teaching. investigators. your boyfriend. so i was telling him everything, and at the end, i told him that my boyfriend found another woman and got married. he was like... what? and i was like... HA. just kidding. But it was really good. Now that I~m starting to be able to speak a little bit more, I am teaching a lot more. I~ve also been implimenting a lot of the teaching skills that I learned in Detroit here in Brazil. I~m actually really glad that I stayed in Detroit that extra transfer, because I learned a lot about teaching by the spirit, and its been made apparent through our zone conference that that is something that has been a struggle with our mission. The last mission president made all of the missionaries memorize all of the lessons, and so in lessons, the missionaries so recite the lessons (2 hour long lessons holy crap). In Detroit, we learned how to give spirit filled lessons in 30 minutes or less. We werent even really aloud to teach for more than half an hour, and I see now that they~re trying really hard to go in that direction here in Brazil. It was really cool. I was at that zone conference, and i thought... oh my gosh. i understand what they~re saying. this was the first meeting that i~ve gone to where i~ve felt like i really understood.
Also, our mission president also emphasized that we need to invite them to baptism in the first lesson. We~ve been doing that, and have seen our numbers go up with more solid investigators. I~ve learned throughout the mission to just do what the mission president says, whether you think its stupid or not, and you~ll be blessed.
I~m also talking everyone and theyre dog to go back and study at byuh. i know several who are planning on going. i~m stoked. i havent decided if i am going to extend or not, i still have time, but eu acho que vou ficar mais uma transferencia. E se eu extendesse, voltaria no final do dezembro. but i haven~t decided yet.
I cant really think of very many other things that happened.
I love brasil
and i love you
