Yãll have no idea how freaking hot it is here. You know, when I was in Florida, I always was like... dry heat is good. Humidity is what makes it so hot. I was wrong.
Dry heat sucks.
We~re stopping at every other house asking for water because, seriously its so hot, and so dry. It~s super hard to breathe, and we have 2 fans in our room at night, but still doesn~t cut it. I wet down my sheets and pillowcases to feel mais fresh at night, and when i wake up in the morning, they~re completely dry and I~m already sweating.
This week was really good. We had another baptism, and the elders had a baptism as well. We~ve been running around like crazy because the Elders can~t leave their house very much because one of them is still a little sick, so we have been following up with the people they teach, and the people that we teach, and knocking doors. It~s seriously exhausting.
The girl that we baptized is called Daniella. Her uncle and brothers were baptized last month, and she finally decided to be baptized. We taught her about the gospel, and she accepted a date to be baptized. We taught her every day after that, and some days she was listening, other days she wouldnt. But finally we got her all prepared for her interview. During the interview, Elder Daniel was like.. who do you want to baptize you? She asked him who could baptize her, and he said, the missionaries, her uncle, one of her brothers, and she was like... I want Sister Marshall to baptize me. Haha! I felt honored. But said I couldn~t, so she was like.. ok, Elder Daniel can baptize me.
So then the day of her baptism. I called her to make sure that she was actually coming. We get there, start the service, and Elder Daniel tries to explain how everything will work out. Then he asked her what her full name was. She was like... You have to guess. It was so funny, Elder Daniel almost killed her, but then after that, everything was normal, and she was baptized! YAY!
Other than that, we knocked doors this week, found a couple of cool people. We~ll teach them this week. Not much else happened this week. Just work and work and work.
Well, thats about all I have.
Love you,
Stay awesome.
