Hello Familia e amigos!
I~m trying to remember all that happened this week. It was really really hot, and we did a lot of walking. I~ll tell you all about how far i walked and you can google map it or something. I don~t really know, and the sun this week was BLISTERING. I burnt my eyes...ah nein.
So on Tuesday we had District Meeting and it was in Jardim Curitiba. So we live in Balneario and at 6:30 in the morning we walked from Balneario, to Jardim Curitiba. Depois, we walked back to our houses in Balneario, and then we had lunch in Finsocial. After Lunch, we worked for a while in Finsocial, then had an appointment back in Balneario. Ate, taught, and then had a lesson in Fonte Nova. I couldn~t even tell you how much we walk because I have no idea. This happened again on Friday because we had a zone meeting.
It was cool though, I like it. It~s just so dang hot, and this week was exceptionally hot and dry. Everyone talks about how hot and humid Brazil is. Theyre right, in some parts, its humid... kind of like the U.S... But where I~m serving, holy jama llama, its sooooooo dry, and hot. my throat hurts, i~m sempre colocando chapstick.
We were going to have a baptism on Saturday. This really sweet lady, E. But her grandson ended up having some health problems and she was in the hospital Friday and Saturday. We will have the baptism on Saturday.
SO in the US, they have icecream trucks. In Brazil, they have Pamonha cars. I will always hear this monotone voice say.... OLHA PAMONHA! PAMONHA SAL! PAMONHA DOCE!! Finally stopped the pamonha bike, and bought one. Oh my gosh, it was so good.
The Elders did a split this week on Friday. Elder Shortland came to our area, and Elder Ruiz went to Fama. It was tight. Us mutt filipinos gotta stick together. We reminisced BYUH. You know, the yoozh.
Another funny thing about Goiania is that its SUPER COUNTRY. Like... people ride horses here. ANd wear cowboy hats and people don~t make fun of them. Its so funny because on Sunday, everyone is super drunk and blast the music in their cars and dance outside in the streets. And yesterday I saw this huge group of college age brazilians jumping and dirty dancing to things that animals say. It was in English and I was like... what the? Why are they dancing like that to this song? But it was funny because its all college students and one random 80 year old cowboy dancing by himself and screaming at the top of his lungs. People are freaking hilarious.
Anyways, I don~t have too much to report this week. But hope everything is going well! Love you a lot!!!
